Hi people,
while my favourite Canadians are cooking an excellent dinner, I'm gonna tell you about this second day in Manitoulin Island.
After a great breakfast, we took the road to the biggest Indian reserve on the island and we visited a church there: the cultural mix between Christianism and the First Nation culture provokes quite a shock, fort instance Our Father translated in Ojibway: so cool!
Then we visited a couple of friends of theirs, Scott and Melissa, very nice people who live next to a lake, frozen in this season. We had a cup of tea and then took the snow shoes to walk on the lake. I was not laughing, I assure you, but I couldn't believe I was actually walking on the ice, with my frozen eyebrows! Apparently, a car could go on it... not mine anyway...
Hi Romain. Great blog! Thanks for the English translation. Thanks for staying with us in Niagara Falls. It sure sounds like you are having a great time on Manitoulin! You are the first guest we have sent there and I can assure you that based on your experiences we will send many more. Best Regards. Patrick ACBB Hostel Niagara.
RépondreSupprimerHey Romain, I hadn't looked at the blog in a little while but just caught up with all your entries from the past week or two - sounds like you're having a great time.
RépondreSupprimerThe falls look absolutely amazing in the snow!
I'm driving around the UK for work over the next few weeks, a chance to get to know my country a little better I guess. Just dropping by to say hello and I'll definitely pop back to the blog from time to time to find out what you've been up to.
Glad to see you're being well looked after by the Canadians.
A+
