The Sixth Sense vs. Happy Days

J'ai passé une super soirée hier: j'ai commencé par manger au restaurant Zak's, très sympa, avec une ambiance et une déco très sixties le juke boxe, le bar, les banquettes, etc... J'ai mangé un énorme sandwich avec un milkshake à la fraise: délicieux!



Je suis ensuite allé visiter la prison d'Ottawa.

C'était très intéressant de voir les conditions de vies des prisonniers, les petites cellules, les grands couloirs froids et sombres, la potence et tout... C'était quand même assez flippant sachant qu'il s'est passé des choses terribles jadis dans ce bâtiment et qu'on dit qu'il est hanté... et le pire, c'est qu'ils ont transformé ça en auberge de jeunesse et que j'ai failli dormir là...


Enfin, ce matin, j'ai pris un excellent petit déjeuner, toujours à Zak's: pancakes avec sirop d'hérable!

Par contre, la tempête est arrivée et à c'qu'il parait, ça va être chaud...



Last night was really great: first I ate at Zak's, a pretty cool restaurant with a special design from the sixties: the juke boxe, the bar, the banquettes, etc... I had a very big sandwich with a strawberry milkshake: delicious!

Then I went visiting the former Ottawa prison.

It is very interesting to see what were the living conditions of the prisoners, the small cells, the cold and dark hallways, the gallows and stuff.

It was kind of creepy though because a lot of terrible things happened in the past in that building, and now they say the it is haunted... and the best part is that this has become a hostel and I could have slept in it...

And finally this morning I had an amazing breakfast at Zak's: pancakes with maple sirup!
The storm has come and they say it's gonna be awful...
